About Rich Dean

Greetings! I’m Rich, a maker of practical, secure, and intelligent tools for the people who keep small and medium businesses running every day. I lead AI and Microsoft 365 product management at Syncro, where I focus on turning Microsoft 365 security, remote monitoring and management, and AI-driven automation into solutions that make IT simpler, safer, and more scalable for MSPs and small IT teams.

My focus is on building what helps the people we serve most. This past year, that meant delivering new capabilities designed to reduce risk and simplify operations for MSPs and small IT teams:

• XMM, extending RMM into a multi-tenant Microsoft 365 management
• Identity Management, ensuring secure and seamless access for users
• Posture Management, for securing identity and devices
• Security Assessments, helping teams proactively find and fix vulnerabilities
• Cloud Backup, protecting the lifeblood of every business, data
• Syncro Snapshot, delivering clear, actionable security insights in minutes for free

Next up, we are bringing intelligence directly into the tools IT uses every day. I am preparing to introduce Syncro’s Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent into Early Access. Technicians will be able to resolve issues, retrieve intelligence, and take action using natural language inside Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Copilot.

I have always believed that AI should serve humans, not the other way around. My work is focused on helping technicians move faster, reduce risk, and turn the Microsoft cloud investments they already own into real security wins for the businesses they protect.

Outside of work I am a lifelong learner, a bit of a geek, and a believer in making technology feel less like work and more like progress. I am proud of what we have built so far but even more excited about what is coming next.
